Indiana Jones spoiler

What can I say? It was Indiana Jones, Indy. The action, the music, the hat-it was all there; another opportunity to show how much he really hates snakes, even nods to "Dad" and Marcus- which was especially touching. And who doesn't love Marion? And the promise of that elusive happy ending? It was all there...and yet...there is one word which seems to sum up the entire movie for me, my thinking of it. One word that captures my experience, all my emotion...
Aliens.
Yep, you read right. If only you could hear my voice when I say it, the lack of understanding, the disbelief, the disappointment. Aliens. This is not the first of my favorite shows to ruined by the presence of aliens (anybody remember X-men?), and it seems, it won't be the last. Why? Why, I ask? I don't know. I can't seem to get past it. But perhaps you will, of course you have to go watch it, it IS Indiana Jones-I hope you enjoy it. Let me know.

Grill Masters

My men-folk grilling (or as Luke says it, "Gah-rIl-ing") dinner the other night. Luke was a very big helper, but he had to sit in his chair because the grill was Hot.
I love that he is technically sitting in his chair, but still trying to get the best view! Very cute. He did very good.
Oh, and dinner was cheeseburgers, they were excellent! Thanks guys.

Very True.

C.S. Lewis' stepson, Douglas Gresham:
"In today's world, we look at our presidents, our prime ministers, our princes and our potentates, and we describe them as our leaders. But they're not. They're merely our rulers. The leaders are the people who change the minds and stimulate the imaginations of the public, whether children or adults. That means the moviemakers, the people who make TV shows, the entertainment people in the business."

"Niner, niner"

Introducing our new baby, first pictures!
Here are our first sonograms. The "peanut", white spot, is the baby...not even a "gummie" yet. Not very big, and actually, younger than we thought.
So we have an approximate due date: January 9, 2009 (Niner, niner). That makes me almost 6 weeks pregnant-so pretty early still.
And, yea me-I feel fine! Whew.
So, pretty normal with Luke here, just changing up our eating habits a bit, adding two vitamins to the daily schedule and we keep talking about this "new baby" person. But other than that-we're normal.
Enjoy the pictures! Thanks for your prayers.

Exploring our blog

Introducing our blog's sidebar feature number 2, "Our Photos". You may have seen it, the picture slideshow on the sidebar, right under the profile picture. This is a very neat little feature, it is a mini slideshow, and clicking on it takes you to our site at Flickr.com. There you can see all the pictures on the slideshow on a larger scale, even a full-screen slideshow; you can comment on each picture individually, and you can also order pictures if you want!
So, great feature, check it out if you haven't already.

"The one that didn't get away"

This is my dad's new trophy! He caught this 23.5 inch long bass right off his deck in his backyard-so exciting! Luke talks about "Grandpa with the fishes".

We can't wait to see it mounted Dad! Good job.

Excursion

Today we went on a walk, we ran around in the grass, and walked to the slide-on of Luke's favorite things!

It was lots of fun and Luke went down the slide without holding my hand for the first time today-he is getting so big.

Here are some good pictures to enjoy.

Prayer need

This blows my mind.

Formal Announcement

Dear Family and Friends,
For those of you who haven't already heard, we are having another baby! That's right, a new little Bonner is on the way. We don't know much more at this point. A general estimate puts us due the beginning of December, but as we get information, we'll pass it along!
So would you please keep us in your prayers? Thank you.

A visit.

My Parents came to visit last weekend! We had a great time with "Grandpa" and "Grandma". It was just for a weekend visit, but we had some fun times in it. We went to the mall and played on Luke's rides, and then Luke got to go on the big Carousal for the first time-he did great. We walked around our neighborhood and played on the slide, Luke's favorite thing to do these days! Grandpa and Grandma also gave Luke something very exciting-a baseball bat, ball and glove! We were playing indoor baseball (check the pictures out below). Luke is a very good pitcher...when he is focused. And of course, no time with Luke is perfect without the watching of "O Little Joe" and Jonah, his Veggie Tales movies. lol.
Mom and Dad took us to Chicago one day (Luke hung out with the Arnolds-thanks!), we saw Wicked!! and went to a very nice Steak house-I had shrimp. It was so much fun.
Enjoy the pictures.
