Excuse or Reason? Reason or Excuse?

Thanks all you patient folks out there! (Remember, patience is a virtue and a fruit!)
I was sick with a short little flu-bug, but then I got better. Amy (Aaron's older sister), Madison and Hannah came up to go to Family Camp with us, and Jane came along to get in a quick visit with us before and after her visit with a good friend who lives up here. We (Amy, her daughters, Aaron, myself and Luke) drove up to Wisconsin for a Family Camp vacation all together and had a lot of fun-and took a lot of pictures!
*I will post about that-patience, remember*
Well, at camp I started to get a bit worse with my sinuses and allergies. Full blown sinus infection, with fevers and everything. It really settled in there. When we got back from camp, I was hoping I would feel better, and I did-at first. But then my body just gave up the fight. SOO a few days of doctor recommended rest and antibiotics later, I am blogging now. Just to let you know why I haven't been lately. I am feeling better, but I'm still on my way. So prayers please. And stay tuned for some posts!

Happenings

So I was looking at blogs this morning, (it is so awesome that so many of our friends have them!) and I was just enjoying reading and commenting, and being disappointed when someone hadn't updated their blog....and then it hit me-duh, you have a blog that you haven't updated in weeks. Silly girl! And here I am.
All our boxes are unpacked! We are enjoying living in our new home:

I have a couple of great pictures of Luke:

This is our visit with Howie and his family, Luke L-O-V-E-S Howie the Bulldog.

Luke swimming in our backyard, in his little inflatable pool.

Luke sportin' a new 'do' after Mommy gave him a haircut.
On Friday Luke will be having Tubes put into his ears, the double ear infection that has lasted the last 10 1/2 weeks is hopefully drawing to an end! Pray for that please.
On Saturday Luke and I will be flying to Mississippi for our visit with the Bonner family! YEA! I'm very excited about this trip!
On the following Saturday Aaron and the Youth Group will be -driving- down to Mississippi for a week-long missions trip at Friends of Alcoholics. I will be helping too!
And then we will come back and it won't be long before Luke's 1st birthday-August 12.
Goodness Gracious, he is going to be 1.

June 2, 2007

Okay, whew. I think we're on the mend. Aaron has a sore throat, I have a cough and some sinus issues, Luke is working on his ear infections but his cough seems gone and his nose seems better...so all in all...I'd say we're doing okay.
And we got the air conditioner fixed in our new home-VERY GOOD. I think also, that not being hot all the time will make us feel better in general. I'm so excited! Baring any troubles tonight or in the morning, we are all going to be at church tomorrow! YEA!

Yes, we did move into our new home. The move went smoothly and we were done well before our projected time-only because of our awesome help! Thank you! Unpacking is still in it's final stages I'm sad to say, but I'm positive I'll knock it out soon!
I'll get some pictures up soon, but I can't right now because....

I left my camera-computer hookup cable in Texas accidentally! (nice segway into the next paragraph there)
Luke and myself had a wonderful time visiting with my folks in Texas. The flights went well there and back. I got to hang out with my parents, my brother, his fiancee, my sister and her son Tre, and our friend from Mississippi who met us there. We also were visited by family friends, and saw my grandparents a couple times. It was great! Luke had his first experience swimming. He had his first taste of BBQ sauce, took a bath with his cousin (shocking for them both lol) and he chased a dog around the house! He was so exhausted at the end of every day!
I only have one picture right now of my time in TX:
This is me being climbed by "the boys", Luke in his Saints onesie, and Tre in his new ATM outfit. They are so cute, and SO different. Hopefully soon I can get some more pictures on here, this one is Christi's that I stole from her facebook. (Thanks Christi!)

Once we got home to Aaron (who we missed so much), we promptly got sick (again). Thankfully we are recovering.
Please pray with us for Luke; he has had a double ear infection for over a month now and has been on antibiotics as long, he is on what I believe is his last round of antibiotics from his pediatrician before he will be referred to an ENT. We want his ears to get better, and fast, if that means pursuing treatment with an ENT-that's fine! Lets just get this nasty thing cleared up! Also pray for Tre, he too has a double ear infection he just got on returning home (poor babies). Aaron may not let us visit TX anymore if we are going to come home sick every time...

And lastly- yesterday was mine and Aaron's 5 year wedding anniversary. We have been married as long as we were together and not married; which seems like a milestone to me. And on June 10th, it will have been 10 years since he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. WOW. Congrats us!

Thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, your friendship and love! I'll get some pics up soon (hopefully).

Later. :D
