...we took several. They are so cute. We had a fun time hanging out with them and it was so great to be with all the Bonner clan.
These are more pictures of Luke with his cousins, and one with his aunt Emily.
Luke hung out with Jane (otherwise known as "Momaw") in her yard, where all the yummy blueberries were. And here is a picture of Mike ("Popaw") with all his grandkids at Margaritas (that was good Mexican food!).
We were having fun and just spending some quality time together...and then...Aaron's group came. :D Then we started a whole other kind of fun!
Like I said before, there were coming to serve at F.O.A., and serve they did; boy, did they work hard with a great attitude(while battling Fire Ants and mosquitoes, and the threat of deadly spiders and snakes) :
They picked purple-hull peas and corn, prepared the corn and we ate it for dinner that night
They also cleaned fences, worked sorting for the garage sale of donated items (where Aaron found this awesome find! It says: "Ashes of Obnoxious Teenagers").
They chopped wood for the winter, and helped with the monthly newsletter's mailout.
They also cleaned a very dirty house, and took care of other needs:
And the Group helped cook a meal and prepare the dining room. But it wasn't all hard- some of it was fun...or at least funny! Like watching them clean pigs:
It was great to watch them interact with the guys, the Students in going through F.O.A.'s two-month program. And it was good watch them enjoy and grow closer with each other.
While we were in Mississippi we also did some other things...
Like hang out with Riverwood's Youth Group a couple times, eat CiCi's, play their games (Hockey and Scatterball), then play our game (Bombardment). We also went to Larwil Lanes and bowled one evening. That was fun!
Luke's Great-uncle Steve and Great-aunt Regina (who manage the Bowling Center) opened up a whole lane just for Luke to have for his very first time bowling!
We went to a Mississippi Braves game too! and we got this awesome picture of
There is a bunch more things that happened and things we did in Mississippi, I've shared a lot, but really, you'll just have to ask if you want to see more pictures of our awesome time, or you can go to Aaron's blog (see the link near the top of the page) and read what Aaron writes about it. Beyond that though, there was much that happened that pictures couldn't even begin to show. The testimonies we heard, the lives that were touched, and even changed. It was an awesome time. I am just thankful that I could be a part of it!
