Special Ornament

Christmas ornaments are so special...they mark our years and memories. I know you have those ornaments that each year as you put them on the tree, you smile and remember when you got it, why and from whom...
Our very good friend, Carl West, made this ornament for Luke! We asked him to make it this past summer, gave him a very vague idea of what we wanted and he created a masterpiece!

Not only is this better than anything you can get in the store, its personalized, AND hand-crafted by a friend.
Thank you Carl! This will be a part of Luke's life forever.

How Deep The Father's Love For Us

How deep the Father's love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
~
How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory
~
Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers
~
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
~
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
~
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Luke Quote

Luke (from bed): "I need a kleenex!"
Aaron (from the hall): "Why?"
Luke: "I spilled my drink on my bed."

Outdated photo.

Thought you might like to see how long I let his hair get before I cut it this time! Wowzers

THEN:

...continued from the last post...

Then they came inside, ate dinner (Thanks Dad for the recipe-Chicken Dumplings, yummy), and then played. Check out Luke's cute snow pants! And his dedication to tackling Aaron-lol. If he knock you down, he does his best to pull you down.

HAHA.

Spontaneity

Last night Aaron came home and very enthusiastically said, "Lets go play in the snow!"

The cute picture award goes again to photographer Aaron:

They did and had so much fun!

Bonner's Visit, Part 3

Playing in the snow with Momaw and Popaw! What a cute pose.

We had alot of fun, it snowed and the snow was a great powder, a little hard to make snowballs, and near impossible to make a snowman-but great to run around in, not wet at all.
Some of you may see this picture up close soon....
Luke had lots of fun! Hard to tell because of all the clothes I'm wearing but here I am, very pregnant.
Another great pose!
Playing under the red berry trees
Family shot!
Mike and Jane trying to get their poses set up
Cute photo shoot for the Parents

And, by the way-for those of you who have never been here, this is our house, the middle unit with the open garage is ours!

Psst.

One week til Christmas!

Quote of the day

After Aaron shook him and tackled him, Luke lying on the floor trying to get up:

"Oh man....that was great!"

Bonner's Visit, Part 2

Reading a book to Momaw and Popaw

Hanging out during the Bonner's visit

watching Cars and playing Webkinz

Woody and Bullseye chillin' in the Steak N Shake car.

Anybody notice the ticker up there that says 21 days til my due date?? Thats 3 weeks! I'm sure you could figure that out by yourself, but I felt it necessary to say!
Christmas with the Bonners! We had lots of fun, you can't tell in this first picture though...I think he was not excited about having to pose by himself in front of the tree...maybe we shouldn't have told him that we were opening presents until after we took the picture!

He wanted to show the presents to everyone, here he is showing Popaw clothes for his new baby / and opening one of his gifts-a very cool just-for-kids nativity!

Helping Mommy open a gift

The tube had a present in it but Luke thought it was the toy! He danced around the room singing into it-lol/ helping Popaw again

Look at that big grin! A giant Cars coloring book! Wow

Momaw kept pulling more stuff out of places!/ and Luke helped Daddy open as many presents as he could

He opened a gift for the new baby, it was a blanket/bear like his bears...here he is giving it a kiss! Sweet.

Helping Popaw again/ and Playing with his new Woody and Bullseye
Luke had lots of fun-as you can see. And we have another Christmas coming! Yeah!
