Luke loves football! He has been watching for a while and recently decided to start playing! He was tackling Daddy, but now he has figured out how to play by himself!

What Natural Talent!

oh, and did you notice the Texas Longhorns pants?

Video Mania, 3

An unexcited recitation of his Sunday School verse:

HAHA

Video Mania, 2

My camera shy son

Video Mania, 1

If you listen carefully, you can hear Luke giving away his location!

And he follows it up with a "cheese"-what a ham.

Expand your mind, Thailand

Thailand. This is the Buddhist festival of Loi Kratong, when people send off literally thousands of these lanterns, symbolizing the release of their sins." Incredibly beautiful, terribly heartbreaking." -M. Brooker

The Kingdom of Thailand (formerly Siam)
Quick facts about Thailand Population: About 65.5 million
Ethnic groups: 75% Thai, 14% Chinese, various other groups 11%
Capitol: Bangkok
Religion: 94.6% Buddhist, 4.6% Muslim, 0.7% Christian, 0.1% various other
The three provinces in the south have a Muslim majority. Most of the Buddhists in the country are from the Theravada tradition, a conservative form of the religion.

In the early 1800s, the first Protestant missionaries brought the Gospel message to Thailand. Some 180 years later, less than one percent of Thais know Jesus Christ. However, there are signs of a spiritual awakening on the horizon. More churches have been established in the last 15 years than the prior 165 years combined.
The Gospel is spreading at an accelerating pace.

The opportunities in Thailand are overwhelming for two reasons. First, because Thailand has religious freedom, you can safely share the Gospel throughout the country. Secondly, since 95% of the population is Buddhist, the potential harvest is enormous.

Please pray for the unbelievers in Thailand, and for those who have committed their lives to sharing with them the life-changing Gospel of Jesus!

What do you think?

I rarely take these kinds of quizzes, but I was very interested to know who I was on the "Mad-men Era Female Icon Quiz"...what do you think?
You Are an Ingrid!

You are an Ingrid -- "I am unique"

Ingrids have sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive.

How to Get Along with Me
* Give me plenty of compliments. They mean a lot to me.
* Be a supportive friend or partner. Help me to learn to love and value myself.
* Respect me for my special gifts of intuition and vision.
* Though I don't always want to be cheered up when I'm feeling melancholy, I sometimes like to have someone lighten me up a little.
* Don't tell me I'm too sensitive or that I'm overreacting!

What I Like About Being an Ingrid
* my ability to find meaning in life and to experience feeling at a deep level
* my ability to establish warm connections with people
* admiring what is noble, truthful, and beautiful in life
* my creativity, intuition, and sense of humor
* being unique and being seen as unique by others
* having aesthetic sensibilities
* being able to easily pick up the feelings of people around me

What's Hard About Being an Ingrid
* experiencing dark moods of emptiness and despair
* feelings of self-hatred and shame; believing I don't deserve to be loved
* feeling guilty when I disappoint people
* feeling hurt or attacked when someone misundertands me
* expecting too much from myself and life
* fearing being abandoned
* obsessing over resentments
* longing for what I don't have

Ingrids as Children Often
* have active imaginations: play creatively alone or organize playmates in original games
* are very sensitive
* feel that they don't fit in
* believe they are missing something that other people have
* attach themselves to idealized teachers, heroes, artists, etc.
* become antiauthoritarian or rebellious when criticized or not understood
* feel lonely or abandoned (perhaps as a result of a death or their parents' divorce)

Ingrids as Parents
* help their children become who they really are
* support their children's creativity and originality
* are good at helping their children get in touch with their feelings
* are sometimes overly critical or overly protective
* are usually very good with children if not too self-absorbed

Quote for today

"I have studied many religions, many different persuasions of thought in Christian belief, and I have come, in this experience to this: the most important question in anyone's life is the question asked by poor Pilate in Matthew 27:22: 'What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?' No Other question in the whole sweep of human experience is as important as this. It is the choice between life and death, between meaningless existence and life abundant. What will you do with Christ? Accept Him and life, or reject Him and die? What else is there?"
