5 months old

Luke is growing up so fast it seems. I like to think of him as a genius but really, ALL babies are geniuses, think of all they learn so fast and so early. They just absorb everything! Luke can roll all over the place, he can put his own pacifier in his mouth, he is eating cereal twice a day now (these pictures are of his first time to eat it and he ate his whole bowl!!), he thinks the dog is hilarious and is getting ready to crawl. Oh my goodness. Its hard to believe that he is 5 months old...

Then again, its hard to believe he hasn't been around forever. He is such an awesome kid. Being parents is hard, but its good; and why shouldn't it be hard, it is an awesome responsibility, one we could/should only be able to handle because we draw our strength from our Lord.
Thank you all for your love and your prayers.
If you want to compare how much he has changed, just take a peek at some earlier posts-wow.
Okay, y'all. Saints play tonight, they are on their way. Apparently they just needed Luke as a fan to make this far, this is their year. (that was for Aaron, you love a man, you love his team :D)

Christmas, Part 2

After our Christmas with the Bonners here in Illinois we braved the airlines and made our way to the Durham house in Texas.
We played in the Annual Durham In-law/Out-law Golf Tournament, Luke and Tre went too. Here is Luke all decked out in his golf clothes with my Dad:
Taking the trophy (yes, there is a trophy) was my bro-in-law Mark and my Grandpa, Aaron and Mom came in 2nd, Dad and Courtney (my brother Cody's girlfriend) and myself at 3rd (woohoo), Amanda and Cody in at 4th (a.k.a. last). This was my first time to play in the golf tournament, I had a crash course lesson the day before with my Dad at the driving range and greens, I'm proud to say that I wasn't an embarrassment.
Here is luke talking with my Mom and me.

And this was a fun picture to take:
Luke and Tre, sitting a chair all by themselves, posing for a picture. They are in their new matching "First Christmas" outfits their grandparents got them. Imagine if you will, all the adults in the room, behind this camera, basically being idiots to see if they can get a smile, next time I'm videotaping that! hehe.

Christmas, Part 1

Christmas was great this year! We were so thankful to have Mike and Jane (Aaron's parents) come to visit just a little before Christmas so we could celebrate with them.

Luke enjoyed his first Christmas, he opened his own presents (well, maybe not by himself), and it really tuckered him out!

We had a wonderful time with "Popaw" and "Momaw", enjoyed family and remembered Christ. And we got presents-woohoo.
